Once licensed, a foreign-invested enterprise must maintain a series of periodic compliance obligations: quarterly and annual investment activity reports on the National Foreign Investment Information System, tracking charter capital contribution against the registered commitment, managing capital flows through the direct investment capital account (DICA), and updating the Investment Registration Certificate whenever the scale, location or objectives of the project change. These obligations are easy to miss because they are spread across several authorities and several deadlines, while late or omitted reports can lead to administrative penalties and affect the legal standing of the project later on.
